Toyota FT HS

The Toyota FT-HS is a hybrid sports car concept introduced at the 2007 North American International Auto Show. Calty Design Research designed the concept and suggests that it could fill the place of the Toyota Supra. FT-HS stands for Future Toyota Hybrid Sport. The goal of the rear wheel drive hybrid powertrain is to produce 400 horsepower (300 kW) and achieve 0-60 mph in around 4 seconds. This is accomplished by combining a 3.5 L V6 and an electric motor in a manner similar to the Lexus GS450h. Unlike the GS (and virtually all other current hybrids), a production version of the FT-HS would make use of a capacitor system designed specifically for quick charging and increased performance. Since the debut of this concept, Toyota has exhibited such technology in the Supra HV-R race car. The 2+2 vehicle features a unique retractable roof similar to a targa top. Rimac Concept car

At the last Frankfurt Motor Show, one of the futuristic concepts Cars that more attention was called Rimac Concept One, electric supercar capable of delivering a power equivalent to 1,088 horsepower. At the heart of this Croatian car is a set of four motors, one for each wheel, which together allow it to reach 100 km / h (standing start) in just 2.8 seconds. The top speed is "only" 308 km / h for an autonomy for 600 kilometers. At each wheel there is an autonomous system that incorporates an inverter and gearbox in order to control each wheel independently. Each of these engines is controlled by specific electronic units that make use of sensors placed around the car.

Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 – an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design. Supercharged LS9 Engine The new LS9 6.2L small-block engine is the power plant the supports the ZR1’s performance capability. The enabler of the LS9’s performance and refinement is a large, positive-displacement Roots-type supercharger with a new, four-lobe rotor design. It is augmented with an integrated charge cooling system that reduces inlet air temperature for maximum performance.
